Queen Alexandra Work Order System Web Application

We built a work order web application to help the Queen Alexandra Centre for Orthotics, Prosthetics and Seating record, manage, process, and invoice all orders for their equipment and services. Throughout the cycle of an order, staff can easily access order information in the work order web application, record their progress, and then focus their attention on getting the work order done, instead of doing paperwork.

The Queen Alexandra Centre for Orthotics, Prosthetics and Seating (QACOPS) designs and builds equipment to help people of all ages improve their mobility. The process begins with an initial assessment of a person's needs. Then the staff create a work order for assembling whatever type of orthoses, prostheses, or foot orthoses a patient needs. When QACOPS came to us for help, they were using an antiquated system that did not work the way they wanted it too. It made the process of managing their workload more cumbersome and difficult instead of less. They wanted something simpler and more user-friendly so that they could focus on helping patients instead of entering data and doing paperwork.

The work order management software we built helps them enter create and manage work orders through a simple web inerface. They can add parts and labour requirements to the work order, move the work order from person to person along their internal business process, and track the progress of the work to completion. The custom-built system also gives them the ability to create invoices for patients and insurance providers and record payment information without exporting or importing data.
