The interaction architect works closely with project managers, business analysts, designers, and developers to create enterprise level products that make our clients’ lives a little easier. Responsibilities include conducting stakeholder interviews and user testing sessions, creating workflows and schematics, as well as delivering information architecture and click-through prototypes.

Must have

• Advanced education in Computer Science, Applied Arts, or other relevant field of study and experience
• Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Working knowledge of graphic design software
• Broad understanding of web technologies

Must Have

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, commerce, or health information sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3 - 5 years experience working in a similar role
• Experience defining business requirements for information systems.
• Basic understanding of web development platforms, technologies, practices, and processes. (Including basic knowledge of HTML, PHP, ASP.NET, XML, CSS, DHTML, JavaScript, MS SQL, MySQL, and various OS and web servers including Linux and MS Server.)
• Familiarity with enterprise-level business processes common to government, health care, and commercial organizations. (E.g. sales, procurement, recruiting, work orders, inventory, billing)
• Advanced knowledge and experience using research and analysis techniques.
• Ability to lead a wide variety of interactions with client representatives, including brainstorming, interviews, collaborative working groups, user acceptance testing, and training sessions.
• Superior ability to communicate effectively through the written and spoken word with members of a development team and account managers, as well as project sponsors and stakeholders.
• Ability to translate abstract ideas into conceptual models.

Victoria, BC - April 24, 2008 - Number 41 Media is pleased to announce the launch of the new Royal Victoria Marathon website.

The immersive design captures the vibrancy and spirit of this certified Boston Marathon qualifier event, while drawing visitors into the backdrop of the inspiring Olympic mountain range.

Participants can register online, view route maps and course descriptions, then check back to read the latest news leading up to the marathon weekend. Those looking to improve their performance times can download training material, view race tips, and use a pace calculator to measure their pre-race efforts.

We wish all participants good luck in the 29th annual Royal Victoria Marathon on October 12, 2008.

About the Royal Victoria Marathon Society

The Victoria Marathon Society is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1982. Over 1000 volunteers ensure the marathon weekend is a success each year.

Starting immediately, Number 41 Media is looking for an Administrative Assistant to fill a 10 month full-time maternity leave position, with a potential to lead into a permanent full-time role.

We need someone who is keen, bright, and friendly; someone with related experience supporting a twenty-person firm; and someone with a certain savvy for customer service. Does this sound like you? Although we are a tech company, it is not necessary to have web experience in order to succeed in this support role.

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, this front desk position blends reception duties with operational support, a dash of bookkeeping, and executive assistance. As such, a certain amount of juggling and coordination skills are required. If you can actually juggle, this will impress us to no end.

Must have

• Post-secondary certificate or diploma in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience
• 2 years experience in similar role
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (mainly Outlook, Word, and Excel)
• Ability to work independently and with others
• Proficient keyboard dexterity
• Exceptional organization skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Friendly telephone manner
• Customer service experience

Nice to have

• Experience in the creative tech industry
• Intermediate knowledge of bookkeeping principles
