Silverthreads Web Site Launched
Victoria - January 25, 2003 - Number 41 Media announces the launch of the new Silver Threads [www.silverthreads.ca] web site.
Silver Threads connects people over 55 years of age with their community through programs, classes and social events. To help Silver Threads extend their great work to an online community, Number 41 Media designed a clear and easy-to-use web site that offers quick access to program information at each of the Silver Threads centres in Sidney, Esquimalt, Victoria and Saanich. As well, Number 41 Media highlighted Silver Threads’ popular Meals on Wheels program in the unified design. The bright new look of the site reflects the dynamic people involved in Silver Threads’ many services and programs.
“It’s great when doing your job also means helping your community,” said Dave Stewart, Number 41 Media operations manager.
About Silver Threads Service
Silver Threads Service is a not-for-profit society administered by a volunteer Board of Directors, funded by the Municipalities of Victoria, Saanich, Esquimalt, Sidney, North Saanich and Central Saanich, the United Way, donations and bequests, membership fees and fundraising events.
Silver Threads’ centres in Saanich, Sidney, Victoria and Esquimalt offer classes in recreation, travel, arts and crafts, personal development and health, wellness and fitness. Silver Threads also organizes 55-year plus social events, as well as operating the Meals on Wheels program.
