CivicSolutions Launched

Victoria - June 15, 2003 - CivicInfo BC, a non-profit information service owned by British Columbia’s municipalities and regional districts, is pleased to announce the launch of “CivicSolutions,” a Web site system designed specifically for local governments.

Developed in partnership with Number 41 Media, a leading B.C. Web design firm, the CivicSolutions system helps local governments manage Web site design, Web site hosting, and content management.

“We’re very excited about the launch,” said Todd Pugh, Executive Director of the CivicInfo BC Society. “By using the CivicSolutions system, even the smallest local government can have a top-notch Web site.”

Those using CivicSolutions can choose from a number of pre-fabricated professional site designs, or they may choose to go through a custom design process. Clients are also given a menu of twelve content management tools, from which they can pick the ones that best suit their needs. In addition to these tools, clients have a number of optional services at their disposal including access to Quickscribe Online, an economical and fully searchable local government legislation service. CivicSolutions also looks after hosting - all sites are housed on a secure server in a state-of-the art facility.
