Charles is founder and CEO of Number 41 Media. Give him a problem and he will defuse/sautée/origami/kung fu it into submission. Charles loves live acoustic music, the Discovery Channel, and chocolate chips. Somewhere out there in a tangle of alternate universes, Charles is a hotelier, a rock star, and a fisherman.

Jennifer Peaker

Jennifer is a manager who loves the business of software development. A multi-tasker of the highest caliber, she’s happiest when juggling time, resources, and features. When not herding cats, she can be found laughing with her kids or driving with the music cranked really, really loud.

Ian Martin

Tuck Shop Weakness: The delicious assortment of juices

Ian is a project manager and the best client advocate you will ever meet. He’s also a sports fanatic and plays hockey, tennis, softball, squash, volleyball, golf, and pretty much any outdoor activity. In fact, Ian was a member of the 1988 Canadian Olympic team (torchbearer) and proudly carried the flame through his hometown of Stickney, New Brunswick.

Martin Leggett

Tuck Shop Weakness: Lara Bars

Martin always wanted to be an architect. (Seinfeld, anyone?) These days he’s living the dream as an interaction architect. (Which is mostly just a fancy name for finding out what a client needs and then helping design the perfect solution.) Look long enough and you might see him sailing around Oak Bay in his lovely boat, the Sea Sharp.

Will Weinzettl

Tuck Shop Weakness: Pringles

Will is a vegetarian, senior developer, and all-round nice guy. Chatty, full of advice and always willing to offer his blunt opinion on virtually everything, Will has ridden over 5,600 km to the office and back. He recently took up learning to play guitar and enjoys video games far too much.

Cesar Pinilla

Tuck Shop Weakness: Peanut M&M's

Cesar has been a developer at Number 41 Media longer than anyone else on the team - some call him a lifer. (We hope so! Cesar rocks! – Management) Cesar was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela, and is planning to teach his first child his native Spanish. He loves to tinker with stringed instruments and enjoys a good jam session with his "band".

Daniel Steuernol

Tuck Shop Weakness: Rice Chips

Daniel is a senior developer who codes in his spare time. But with a family of seven, we’re not sure when he has spare time! When not crazy busy, he occasionally uses his height to his advantage on the basketball court.

Gabriel Gasse

Tuck Shop Weakness: Twizzlers

Gabe developed his first application way back in high school, and genuinely enjoys finding solutions to technical challenges. In addition to brewing apple cider, he relaxes by training in the astounding Parkour discipline, rock climbing and watching cartoons -- sometimes all in the same afternoon.

Andre is our resident Brazilian developer who just really likes software development. For fun, he challenges himself by developing games for his Android. When not writing code, he also loves to try out new recipes, read manga, and keep current on new technologies.

Amber Triemstra

Tuck Shop Weakness: Dairy Milk chocolate bars

Amber is our administrative assistant. She loves to bake, cook, create, and entertain. She thinks chocolate and cupcakes make the world a better place. She believes that shopping is a form of therapy and has a weakness for pink party shoes.

Nathan Newsom

Tuck Shop Weakness: Reese’s Pieces

Nathan is our interactive designer. He's been designing and building websites since the advent of the animated GIF and before such popular sites as Facebook or Youtube. When he’s not pushing pixels, you can find him snowboarding during the winter or mountain biking in the summer.

Tana Morgan

Tuck Shop Weakness: Caramilk Bars

Tana is an information architect and writer. She was first published in OWL Magazine in 1979. She's been known to read the Oxford English Dictionary for fun. Tana’s a total cookie fiend, loves baking, and thinks chocolate is magical. She once broke a plank of wood in half with her bare hand. It hurt.

Scott Lapin

Tuck Shop Weakness: Juice Boxes

Scott discovered technology in the 80’s while programming on his Commodore 64, inspiring him to later earn his computer science degree. These days, though, he’s applying those skills as an interaction designer. Scott used to race motocross in his native South Africa, but has since traded his bike for a snowboard.

Chris Lawder

Tuck Shop Weakness: Lentil soup

Chris is our systems administrator, i.e. our all-knowing, all-seeing, benevolent protector. It’s his job to keep all our assorted gadgets and doodads (the cabling, monitors, printers, servers, PCs, laptops, switches, routers, IDs, firewalls, etc.) up and running so that we can do our jobs. If you can’t hear him mumbling curses at operating systems or viruses, he’s probably outside paddling up a river, far, far away from the Internet.
